Former Dutch ambassador to Kosovo, Robert Bosch, says that former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi, who have been held in custody in The Hague for almost 5 years, will be declared innocent.
" The process is moving very slowly, as is known, but now at least they are trying to finalize it with the prosecution witnesses. According to what I remember and know, this phase will end at the end of this month, while the verdict is expected next year. However, as I have said before, I think the verdict will result in the release of everyone, " said Bosch.
In an interview with Ekonomia Online, he emphasizes that the testimony of former NATO commander Wesley Clark will also confirm that the KLA was not a centralized organization that took orders from Thaçi.
" Will he repeat the same thing that others have said: That within the KLA there was no hierarchical, top-down or any other centralized organization. The KLA was a decentralized organization. He will confirm this for sure, because of course he will not contradict his colleagues. "
The former Dutch ambassador also spoke about the political impasse in Kosovo, expressing his surprise at how a political force could propose a candidate for Speaker of the Assembly 56 times.
