Cedomir Stojkovic, the lawyer of the chairman of the Republika Srpska Party, Nikola Sandulovic, said that his client was arrested by the Serbian secret service (BIA).
The reason for his arrest was Sandulović's visit to Prekaz last year, where he apologized for the crimes of Serbia.
On January 2 of this year, the Serbian republican politician wrote a post on the "X" platform, where he returned the message about his visit to Prekaz that happened in February last year.
"I am the only politician from Serbia who came to honor the innocent Albanian victims, the Jashari family, in Prekazi. I apologized and apologized on behalf of the Serbs who did not do this," Sandulović wrote.
But according to his lawyer, this post became the reason for his arrest.
"Only 1 day after his post on the X network expressing his condolences to Albanians in Kosovo for the elimination of 50 members of the Jashari family in 1998, and only 1 minute after the regime's media began an orchestrated hate campaign against him because of that post, simple sentences expressing condolences", he wrote.
