US Special Envoy for Special Missions, Richard Grenell, has reacted to the complaint of the Vetëvendosje Movement in Kosovo that during the administration of former President Joe Biden, the country has suffered a disadvantage vis-à-vis Serbia.
"The Biden and Obama administrations have put Kosovo in an unfavorable position vis-à-vis Serbia ," said the Speaker of the Parliament of Kosovo and at the same time the Vice President of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Glauk Konjufca.
Through a post on the social network "X", Grenell raises the question of why the ruling party in Kosovo has not previously complained about the disadvantage caused by the Biden administration in the dialogue with Serbia.
He adds that not only has this not happened, but furthermore, the Vetëvendosje Movement has complimented the Biden presidency and has regularly attended Democratic Party conventions in the US.
"They spent the last 4 years complimenting Joe Biden and attending his conventions and parties. Why didn't they complain before?" Grenell wrote.

This is the first time since Trump's inauguration that Grenell has commented on the Western Balkans and particularly on the tense Kosovo-Serbia relationship.
