The President of Serbia, Aleksander Vučić, has said that Albin Kurti is threatening Serbia with a lawsuit for genocide right now, because, according to him, he wants to use the institutions of the Council of Europe and through them file a lawsuit against Belgrade.
"It is part of a massive plan for attacks and pressure on the Serbian people and Serbia. We will endure and we will win", said Vucic during a visit to the units at the military airport in Batajnica, reports Danas.
He said that Kurti was enabled to do this a few days ago by the rapporteur for Kosovo, Dora Bakoyannis, and the western countries by recommending that Kosovo join the Council of Europe.
As Vucic said, Kurti has been waiting until now "for another state to file a lawsuit, because Kosovo cannot, as it is not an internationally recognized country".
"Someone else can do this on their behalf, which is a very difficult political issue," said Vucic.
