Kurti confirms illegal wiretapping of Serbian officials during meetings in
Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti has confirmed wiretapping by senior Serbian officials during meetings in Brussels as part of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue. He said that this action demonstrates a new form of Serbia's undermining and sabotaging approach to the dialogue process.

On Dukagjini Television's "Five" show, wiretaps were published this week that Igor Popovic, assistant director in the so-called Office for Kosovo in the Serbian government, had made at the meeting on September 17, 2020 in Brussels as part of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue.

The illegal wiretapping of conversations with European officials was confirmed this Friday by the acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, at a Government meeting.

"The latest case where illegal and secret audio recording of conversations in Brussels is proven is an extremely serious case that reveals in a form that we have not encountered before the systematic, destructive, undermining and sabotaging approach of Serbia, in relation to the parties, the mediator and the process itself mediated by Brussels ," said Albin Kurti.

Kurti added that Serbia is continuing to work to destabilize Kosovo, while he said that security bodies are successfully opposing it.
