Bërnabić's letter that exposes Rama's manipulation!

The more time passes, the more the opening of the archives with Edi Rama's positions on Kosovo betrays their author.

This is proven by the debate that is taking place in recent days between Pristina and Brussels, regarding the withdrawal or not of a letter that former Serbian Prime Minister Ana Bërnabič sent to the EU, taking steps behind the recognition of the Brussels and Ohrid agreement. for the normalization of relations with Kosovo.

On September 6, in Pristina, the European envoy for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak, declared that Serbia has withdrawn the letter of the then prime minister, Ana Bërnabič. The Government of Kosovo denied the existence of a document for this return. The spokesperson of the European Union has refused to answer on the subject, while the official Belgrade has not taken any concrete steps for its withdrawal.
But, at this point, more important than the controversy surrounding the letter is the content of this document, which actually blows up the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo.

In the document of December last year, Bërnabič emphasized that the Agreement is acceptable for Serbia only in a context that does not refer to the de facto and de jure recognition of Kosovo. There, it is also said that Belgrade does not agree with Kosovo's membership in the United Nations Organization or in the mechanisms and agencies that exist within the UN.

So the message is that there is no recognition either "de jure" or "de facto" and Kosovo's entry into the UN is not accepted. But precisely for these two essential elements, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has declared the complete opposite. On June 8, 2023, he announced with fanfare that he had proposed an excellent draft for the association of Serbian municipalities in Kosovo. It is not known whether he took this step to make the shroud for Vučić, who at that time declared that for the agreement there is only one priority out of its 11 points, i.e. the establishment of the association of Serbian municipalities, or that at the height of the scandal McGonigal made a concession to the Americans who asked him to put pressure on Albin Kurti.

But one thing is clear: in order to achieve his dubious goal, that Kosovo must accept the association at all costs, Edi Rama was forced to engage in a series of manipulations and lies.

"Creating the association is ultimately the key to opening the door to the international affirmation of the Republic of Kosovo, its recognition by all, its seat in the UN and all international forums, and mutual recognition with Serbia," he said. before the journalists at the conference on June 8, 2023.

It is good to review even today the video images that Lapi.al has extracted from the statements of that day (below).

For anyone who has the slightest knowledge of the Kosovo issue, Rama's statements have since seemed absurd.

First, because whenever Belgrade has bluntly declared that it does not recognize Kosovo, which it continues to have, it has parts of its constitution.

Secondly, because not even the Brussels agreement, with one of the association points, contrary to what Rama promised, does not oblige him to do such a thing.

And thirdly, even if the Kurti government were to immediately and unconditionally accept the establishment of the association of municipalities with a Serbian majority, there would be no guarantee that this could have a direct impact on admission to the United Nations, as Rama claimed. There, Kosovo is held hostage by the veto of two hostile states that do not recognize its independence, such as Russia and China. So even if she makes a sacrifice by accepting the Western plan, this does not mean that all members of the Security Council, with the right to veto, will agree.

These universally known truths were also confirmed by the letter that the former Serbian prime minister sent to the EU in December, where she said that she accepted the agreement, but without recognition and without the UN.

Therefore, reopening the discussion about it puts our prime minister in a bad light. Because in order to insist on accepting the association, an idea that according to polls is rejected by nearly 90% of Kosovars, he was forced to talk about promises that no one thought of. And if today it is possible to discuss the mystery of the intentions that led Rama to do this, one thing is certain, his use of the weapons of manipulation and deception, which is understood to be to their detriment./ Lapsi
