The Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, has reacted to reports that the country is worried about the mass departure of citizens to EU countries.
He said that these allusions are untrue and shows entry and exit after visa liberalization.
In a post on the Facebook social network, Minister Sveçla emphasizes that according to the data from the border points, from January 1 of this year, when the visa waiver came into force, until today, all border points have entered the Republic of Kosovo 3,687 buses, while 2,408 buses have left.
"For the same period of time, last year, 3,511 buses entered, while 3,731 buses left the border points. So, 35% fewer buses left this year after visa liberalization than last year" , Sveçla wrote on Facebook.
According to him, such a thing is proven by the Bus Station in Pristina and by the data of the Kosovo Police/Border Department that it is not a question of a mass flight of citizens or a flow of buses.
"The post-visa liberalization travel management process is going in the best possible way and I am grateful to the airport staff, our police officers there, as well as police officers everywhere at our border points," says Sveçla.
