Serbian Defense Minister Miloš Vučević stated that the highest degree of combat effectiveness of the Armed Forces is still in force, based on daily security assessments.
"This is not the first time. This is the third time in the last eight, nine months that the Serbian army should have that level of activity regarding the situation in Kosovo", said Vučevič for Happy television, writes Danas.
He added that he would like all issues surrounding Kosovo to remain a topic for diplomatic talks and discussions and not for military actions.
"I think this is mainly a job for the politicians and the army is there as the last defense barrier or the strongest shield that we have in relation to our citizens, regardless of where they live", emphasized the minister.
Meanwhile, we remind you that after the one-on-one meeting with the US special envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, the EU's special envoy for the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, Miroslav Lajçak, with the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Kurti , tomorrow the two envoys will meet the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic.
Meanwhile, in the talks with Kurti, Escobar and Lajçak proposed three demands, elections, calming the situation and returning to dialogue. Asked if Kurti has accepted their proposals, the two envoys said they are at the "beginning of their mission", which will last two days.
