The disciplinary commission has made the decision to exclude Nexhat Krasniqi from the civil service, who is included in the black list of the US Department of State.

The decision was taken today (November 22) by the Disciplinary Commission within the Ministry of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure.
" On November 3, we were informed by the State Department that there is a measure against Mr. Krasniqi from the United States of America, and on the same day, the decision to suspend him from his position was made. From that day until today, we reached the position when Mr. Nexhat Krasniqi, by the decision of the Disciplinary Commission, was removed from the civil service. In the meantime, on 11-15, he was placed in the temporary UD position, for which the competition for 2 positions will then be opened, and on November 20, it was decided, a request was made by the Disciplinary Commission to take the decision that was taken today on the 22nd . , Ali said.
Otherwise, on November 3, 2023, the US Department of State placed Nexhat Krasniq, former procurement official at the Ministry of Trade, on the sanctions list, due to his involvement in major corruption. He has been banned from entering the US.
" As a public official responsible for the supervision of procurement contracts, Krasniqi has abused his public position by accepting bribes in exchange for awarding the contract to allow the construction of the industrial park in the municipality of Drenas by the Eltoni company," the announcement said .
After the prosecution of Krasniqi, the Ambassador of the United States of America in Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, reacted. According to him, the prosecution of Krasniqi shows how seriously they treat the issue of corruption.
" This announcement reaffirms the seriousness with which the United States treats corruption issues. We will continue to use all available tools to promote accountability and deter future criminal behavior by supporting Kosovo's institutions for the rule of law ," Hovenier wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
