
The Kosovo Police announced that in the early hours of July 3, an explosion occurred in North Mitrovica, a municipality inhabited by a majority of Serbs.
According to the Police, the vehicle that exploded is suspected to have been a shock bomb.
The event happened at 00:52 in the Three Skyscrapers neighborhood. Police officials, according to the announcement, "did not encounter collateral damage" from this explosion.
Cluster munitions are not considered destructive weapons, however, they produce a loud noise that disorients the senses.
Recently, several attacks with stun grenades and hand grenades have been recorded in the municipalities in the north of Kosovo. The last bomb attack happened in Zveçan on June 18. Also, there were shock bomb attacks near the stations in Zveçan and North Mitrovica.
