The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, during his speech from the "Bledi" summit in Slovenia, was very positive about Kosovo's membership in the EU.
Kurti said that 5 countries do not yet recognize Kosovo as an independent state, but the fact that diplomatic cooperation has increased is a good and optimistic sign.
"It is true that 5 countries still do not recognize us, but we are working with them from a diplomatic point of view and also in Brussels. The atmosphere is better than before, there are some concrete steps that we hope will change their view. One way we try to convince skeptical countries is through economic and democratic progress, which is a success story. NATO's intervention in 1999 to stop the genocide of Milosevic's former Yugoslavia and it is a success story that Kosovo is one of the countries at the forefront of this progress.
