I think that the Biden administration, although Kurti called in 2020 to vote for Biden and not Trump, has taken a stance against Kurti's stances. The Prime Minister of Kosovo is a sovereignist and makes decisions that he judges to be in the interest of Kosovo and not of the ambassadors or diplomatic representatives of one or the other. The US has made an extraordinary contribution to the freedom and independence of Kosovo. It is the US that has recognized the independence of Kosovo, and even President Bush declared it from Tirana 7-8 months ago, saying that Kosovo is independent.
After President Bush left, the US administrations changed their stance. After Barack Obama came, his policy damaged Kosovo. When Kosovo applied to UNESCO, 2 countries voted against. One of them was Poland, the country most closely linked to the Americans in Europe, so there were messages from the Americans. The interest was to put pressure on Kosovo to make concessions to Serbia. Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe was prevented, with the aim of keeping Kosovo under pressure. The same policy has been followed by Barack Obama's administrations to this day.
In May 2020, it was Grenell who ousted Albin Kurti from power, because he was prime minister. He withdrew the Democratic League from the coalition and in the February 14 elections, 7-8 months later, he won 51 percent of the 36 he had won the first time.
