The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has stated that the protests are not the will of the Serbian people, but threats and continued pressure from Belgrade.
During his speech in the Assembly of Kosovo, Kurti said that even though Belgrade sells itself as if it is protecting the Serbian minority, in fact they only control it and use it.
"It is not their will. They don't protest as a bottom-up movement, it's clearly a top-down movement. I cannot close my eyes when fascists violate our constitution. We must help the Serbs," Kurti said.
Prime Minister Kurti also said that Kosovo wants to help the Europeanization and democratization of Serbia, but will not pay any price. Serbia cannot compensate for what it lost in the past at the expense of Kosovo. This territory.
"Kosovo cannot compensate Serbia for losing the Kosovo war. I can only compensate Belgrade because the Milosevic regime lost. This territory has been oppressed by them, not theirs. We want to help the Europeanization and democratization of Serbia, but we do not pay a price for this. I am the prime minister of all, so let's help the North and the Serbs of the North to get rid of the ideology of 1 party, 1 power and 1 church that Serbia has in mind," said Kurti .
