New details have come to light after the murder of 30-year-old Liridona Ademaj on the evening of November 29 in Pristina, after which it turned out that her husband, Naim Murseli, was behind.
The latter was arrested together with Granit Plava and Kushtrim Kokalla, as suspects in the organization of the young woman's murder.
But what was the reason that drove him to this criminal act?
According to reports, Naim Murseli had paid her life insurance in a Swedish company some time ago and it was said that the insurance could cover expenses up to 20 million euros. But Swedish journalist Henrik Lundbjörk told KosovaPress that the highest amount of the insurance value is 500,000 euros.
On the other hand, the relationship between the couple was not very good, something that their families may not have been aware of.
Kosovapress has obtained a document that confirms several reports that the pair had made a joint request for divorce in a Swedish court. However, the divorce did not happen because neither party filed within six months to a year, which is considered the period of consideration of the request.
For this, the District Court of the city of Uddevalla on February 24, 2020 decided to discontinue the case from further proceedings.
"On January 31, 2019, Liridona Murseli and Naim Murseli submitted a joint declaration of divorce. The District Court decided that the divorce should be preceded by a review period of at least six months and at most one year. In connection with the decision, the district court informed the parties that they could request the separation in writing within the specified period. No application for a divorce decree has reached the district court. The issue of separation has been dropped. The District Court dismisses the case from further proceedings", the document states.
