Around 300 thousand euros were seized during checks at the border crossing in Han i Elezit.
According to the announcement from the relevant authorities, customs officials have discovered and seized 295,270 undeclared euros, which were hidden in a vehicle.
Kosovo Customs reports that the vehicle was stopped for a detailed second-line inspection, after its driver declared that he had nothing to report. During the physical inspection, customs officers found a large amount of money hidden inside the vehicle.
The amount of 295,270 euros has been confiscated in accordance with legal procedures. Meanwhile, the case has been submitted for further investigation by the competent authorities, KosovaPress reports.
Kosovo Customs has emphasized that such controls are part of ongoing efforts to prevent smuggling and other illegal activities at border points.
