The Special Envoy of the United States for the Balkans, James O'Brien, has issued another strong message regarding Kosovo-Serbia relations.
While supporting Lajçak's meetings, he demanded legal responsibility for the individuals involved in the armed attack where the police officer Afrim Bunjaku was killed.
O'Brien also points to strong US support for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, facilitated by the European Union, and appreciates the visits that EU foreign policy chief Miroslav Lajcak is making to the region. He also asked for caution with Kosovo's move to remove the Serbian dinar.
" The new local elections in the north of Kosovo must be held without delay, while there must be sufficient coordination before the implementation of the new monetary regulations. The State of Serbia must hold accountable the individuals involved in the Banjska attack ," O'Brien wrote on the "X" social network.
The international police organization, INTERPOL, has recently issued an arrest warrant for the former vice-president of the Serbian List, Millan Radoicic.
