The European Union has again reacted with concern regarding the situation in the north of Kosovo, after the explosion of a hand grenade in the Bosnian Quarter.
The spokesperson of the EU, Peter Stano, said in a press conference that they are following the situation there with concern and that they will react in time if necessary.
" We are worried about the continuation of the situation where there is no de-escalation of tensions. I want to repeat that we are monitoring the situation with concern and we will react in time if necessary" , Stano said.
We remind you that a powerful explosion was heard at midnight in the "Bosnian neighborhood" in the north of Mitrovica. The news was confirmed by the deputy director of the Kosovo Police for the North of Mitrovica, Veton Elshani.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Kosovo, Xhelal Sveçla, made a reaction regarding the situation in the north a little earlier.
He stated that the criminal groups fired hand grenades as a sign of revolt against the arrest of three Serbs for crimes committed against the civilian population in Kosovo.
