Rescue in the north, Kosovo resolves energy supply after terrorist attack;

The Minister of Economy in Kosovo, Artane Rizvanolli, has announced that state teams have placed 6 temporary pipes in the Ibër Lepenci channel in the north of the country in record time, for an uninterrupted supply of electricity to the country, after the Serbian terrorist attack.

"Ibër Lepenci, at around 02:00 after midnight, in a record time, has installed six temporary pipes with sufficient capacity to provide water for the cooling of the "Kosova B" power plant. Therefore, we expect the electricity supply to continue intact",  she announced.

Minister Artane Rizvanolli has informed that the authorities in Kosovo have coordinated with the Energy Corporation of Albania to provide additional energy, to avoid eventual reductions.

"The water supply has also been affected by this terrorist act. While the water supply in Pristina will be compensated by Badovci and Batllava, the supply in Fushë Kosovë, Drenas and the region of Mitrovica will be provided through autobots, starting from this morning" , she adds.

Serbian criminal structures and terrorists with direct political connections in Belgrade orchestrated an attack yesterday evening that is no different from what Russia is doing in Ukraine. Serbian terrorists have blown up the Ibër Lepenci canal with large amounts of explosives.

The damage to the network is great, since the main canal of Ibër Lepenci supplies water to several cities in Kosovo as well as KEK, for cooling thermal power plants and producing electricity.

The complete reaction of Artane Rizvanolli, Minister of Economy of Kosovo:

Dear citizens,

After an extraordinary commitment of our institutions, a regular supply of electricity for the country and central heating for the citizens of Pristina has been ensured.

Ibër Lepenci, around 02:00 after midnight, in a record time, has installed six temporary pipes with sufficient capacity to provide water for the cooling of the "Kosova B" power plant. Thus, we expect the electricity supply to continue intact.

At the same time, we have coordinated with the Energy Corporation of Albania to provide additional energy to avoid eventual reductions.

The water supply has also been affected by this terrorist act.

While in Pristina the water supply will be compensated by Badovci and Batllava, the supply in Fushë Kosovë, Drenas and the region of Mitrovica will be ensured through autobots, starting from this morning.

Citizens are encouraged to follow the announcements of the Regional Water Companies for accurate information.

Thank you to Ibër Lepenci, the Kosovo Police and KEK for the quick response, as well as AME and KRU, who have made available all the autobots and the necessary human capacities for an emergency solution.
