The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, has stated that a compromise solution is needed for Kosovo. According to him, there cannot be a one-sided solution according to which the Albanians win everything, while the Serbs lose everything.
Vucic made these comments for the Swiss newspaper "Weltwoche", Serbian media write.
He stated that a compromise is required for the issue of Kosovo and that in the process of negotiations such a solution was approached, but that it was not achieved because, as he claimed, "Kosovo does not fulfill its obligations"
" A compromise solution is necessary and we were close to such a solution. They did not want it to be reached. Now we are far from a compromise solution, we don't even talk to each other, although we are ready to talk ," said Vucic, Serbian media reported.
Vucic said that Prishtina does not want to form the Association, which is an obligation from the first agreement and that the situation is difficult, but as he said, "Serbia will do everything to maintain peace".
" There cannot be a one-sided solution according to which the Albanians win everything, while the Serbs lose everything. Nobody is stupid in Serbia. We know how difficult the situation is, but that's why we insist on a compromise solution. I believe in the citizens of Serbia, I believe in the region ," said Vucic.
