While in the northern municipalities the local Serbs came out to protest, the same thing happens in the south of Mitrovica. A group of Albanian citizens have gathered in South Mitrovica.
They gathered despite the request of the Kosovo Police not to respond to the call posted on social media for "protest and march to the north".
From the media in Kosovo, it is reported about dozens of gatherers.
REL says that among them there are also citizens from Albania. Some of the protesters said that they came out in "support of the Kosovo Police".
There are police forces at the scene. The latter announced earlier that citizens should not join such a protest as the call from social media comes from suspicious profiles that may have a bad intention.
Even the Minister of the Interior, Xelal Sveçla, said that such calls "will not help" Kosovo.
Kosovo and Serbia blamed each other for the situation in the north of Kosovo, at the start of the summit of the European Political Community, which is being held in Chisinau, Moldova.
President Vjosa Osmani said that Serbia should immediately stop the activities aimed at destabilizing Kosovo in order to end the violence in the north of the country. According to her, Serbia is actively supporting "illegal structures" in Kosovo.
