The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, seems not to take into account the decisions of any of Kosovo's allies regarding the issue of the Ibri Bridge.
Kurti stated today that the Ibri bridge is a Kosovo issue and there is no room for discussion. He added that discussions on the Ibri bridge were closed in 2016, when it was decided that the bridge should be opened in 2017.
" The issue of the Ibri bridge is a Kosovo issue, it is an issue that was concluded, as far as Brussels is concerned, in 2016-2017. The bridge must be opened, we want free movement of citizens, rule of law, peace and security.
What we have to wait for is the report on the stability of the bridge. I repeat, it is not a matter of discussion, it is a matter of opening, in 2016 all talks were closed and it was said that the bridge should be opened in 2017, now we are in 2024" , said Kurti.
