Two young people were killed on Wednesday evening in Kosovo. The tragic event has shocked Klina, while the police have arrested the person who is suspected of being the author of the act.
The Regional Police Director, Shaban Shala, has confirmed details about the case, stating that the victims are aged 20 and 21.
"When we arrived at the scene, we found a victim there and the suspect had fled. As a result of this, we have one person who had no signs of life and another who died on the way to the Regional Hospital of Peja, as he could not cope with his injuries," said Shala.
Referring to the preliminary information, he indicated that it is about 4-5 gunshots. Meanwhile, prosecutor Sahide Gashi has stated that the motives that led to this serious act are still unknown.
"The case is tragic, as it took the lives of two young people. We don't have the details yet, but we are in the process of collecting evidence and examining the scene," said Gashi. She added that the bodies of the victims were sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine in Pristina for autopsy.
"The suspect, also a young one, was arrested thanks to the quick work of the police," concluded Gashi. Meanwhile, it is reported that the suspect for the double murder in Klina is the son of the former LDK candidate for the mayor of Klina, Besim Hoti.
