In order to reach a solution to the conflict in the north, the two Kosovo-Serbia dialogue mediators will land today in Belgrade.
US envoy Gabriel Escoabr and EU envoy Miroslav Lajcak will hold a one-on-one meeting with Vucic, the focus of which will be the tensions in the north and the agreement signed in Ohrid between to the two parties.
A day later, on Tuesday, Escobar and Lajçak will arrive in Pristina and will be received by Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
The situation in the north of Kosovo is still fragile, since May 29, the Serbs have been protesting in front of the municipal buildings, where the newly elected mayors entered their offices with the help of the police, which also brought the reaction of the Serbs. The day before, the situation appeared calm in the municipalities in the north, with a small number of protesters.
Despite the reduction of tensions, the rhetoric of the two parties in Kosovo and Serbia continues to be harsh. In an interview for the BBC on Sunday morning, Albin Kurti warned that he will not retire and that the heads of the 3 municipalities should stay in their offices and that no compromise can be made with the democratic republic. US envoy Gabriel Escobar made another appeal to Kurti to find a solution for the north.
