Tensions in the north, KFOR does not allow ministers to meet mayors

KFOR has allowed the Kosovo police to pass to Leposavic. The media in Kosovo write that the special units of Kosovo have passed the obstacle placed at "Nothing Hill" and have headed towards the municipality of Leposavic.

But it is reported that KFOR has made a decision not to allow ministers and high state officials to visit the "blocked" mayor in Lepasovic.

Several times KFOR has forbidden the Kosovo Special Unit to go to this municipality. KFOR forces continue to control the entrances and exits to Leposavic by placing a blockade at the base of "Nothing Hill".

Prime Minister Kurti has even been informed about this decision.

The Kosovo police have just arrested another Serb as the author of the attacks on journalists in the north of Kosovo. According to the Kosovo police, the suspect is from the Serbian community, Uros Vukasinovic.

The authorities said that the arrest was made in the early hours of June 19 in a village of Leposavic.

" His arrest and escort to the police station was carried out as a result of intensive investigations and the provision of evidence that he was involved in the attack on the media/journalists on June 16, 2023. All further actions will be taken in cooperation and coordination with the law enforcement agencies ," said the police announcement.

This is the third suspect to be arrested for attacks on journalists, who are reporting from the north of Kosovo, since the escalation of the situation on May 26.
