The Minister of the Interior, Xhelal Sveçla, reacted to the violence against two young Albanians yesterday evening by a group of 15-20 people. He strongly condemned the violence and said that the competent bodies are committed to bringing the responsible persons to justice.
"Last night, 15 to 20 people beat two young Albanians. This act, like any other, is unacceptable and our bodies are committed to bringing the attackers to justice as soon as possible", Sveçla wrote on Facebook.
Furthermore, he stated that Albanian citizens have been expelled from their territory because of the terror that criminal gangs have systematically exercised against citizens in the north of Kosovo, through their various criminal acts.
"Our citizens, especially the Albanians, have been expelled from their homes, those who have stayed have been beaten and terrorized continuously by these criminal groups. Many of them have left there precisely because of this terror systematically exercised by the criminal structure on orders from Belgrade. The same acts have also occurred against citizens of Serbian ethnicity who have known and cooperated with our institutions," he wrote.
Also, Xhelal Sveçla has given details about today's arrest by the Kosovo Police of Nenad Orlović, known by the nicknames "Nemac" and "Rusi", who is suspected of attacking KFOR on May 29 in Zveçan, where many soldiers remain injured .
"The impunity and amnesty of such criminals over the years has resulted in brutal attacks on KFOR from which more than 30 members were injured. Anyone who organized and was part of those attacks will be brought to justice. The Republic is not afraid. Each will give an account for each crime. We will continue without stopping, in the war against all the gangs that aim to terrorize our citizens and destabilize our country", concludes the Minister of the Interior.
