Pristina-Belgrade tensions, Spahiu: The West should sanction Serbia and not Kosovo

Commenting on the tensions between Pristina and Belgrade, the lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu said that the European Union should sanction Serbia as it did with Kosovo.

In an interview for Euronews Albania, Spahiu said that Serbia is a state that has committed genocide and crimes against humanity that has moral, diplomatic and legal obligations towards Kosovo.

"I wish that the EU doesn't just have a propaganda message; just as it sanctioned Kosovo, it would be good to sanction Serbia as well, which is an aggressor country that has massacred Albanians generation after generation. It is the government that refuses to declare and return the remains of thousands of Albanian citizens who were kidnapped and killed and thrown into mass graves.
