The protest of the Serbs in the north of Kosovo has become tense, after the protesters attacked the car of a media which was reporting the gathering.
The announcement came from the local television in Kosovo, ATV, which reports that a team of field journalists was attacked in Zveçan, while reporting on the situation there. The car of the team of journalists was attacked with stones and as a result the team inside the vehicle were injured.
The Association of Journalists of Kosovo has expressed concern about this, and other cases of attacks on journalists in the north, after the increase in tensions there.
The situation became tense today, after the arrest of the leader of the "Civil Defense" criminal group in the north, by the Kosovo police. This has caused a reaction among the Serbs, who have gathered in the streets of North Mitrovica.
A large part of them are wearing masks, suspected to be members of similar criminal groups. On the other hand, many police forces have been seen staying in the Bosniak Quarter to ensure public order and safety.
