Kurti's call: On February 9, I expect 500 thousand votes for Vetevendosje,

Kosovo holds parliamentary elections on Sunday (February 9), while the closing campaign meetings were held on Friday afternoon.

The leader of Vetëvendosje, Albin Kurti, who is aiming for another mandate in government, held a rally in Pristina, where he called on not to let his government fall below 500 thousand votes and threatened the 'millionaires' that he would return the extorted assets to the state. He even accused his rivals of bargaining for personal interests. Kurti repeated his plea for 500 thousand votes, as the number that would make him the winner of the elections and give him a mandate for safe governance in another 4-year term, several times.

Kurti spoke about the investments made in Northern Kosovo with 65 km of roads built and another 100 km in the process. With the return of Albanian families to their properties that were usurped. He also said:

"We are a people and a government with 5,000 police officers and 5,000 soldiers, with 500 more soldiers than police officers and only one Commander. Without former commanders! With our commander Bashkim Jashari, commander of the army of Kosovo and our Republic," he said.

As he further made an open public appeal to the electorate about the threshold of votes that Vetëvendosje needs to win and most likely govern alone.

"I remind you and please, do not leave us below 500 thousand votes. We need 500 thousand votes, I have not begged you, please for the last time, I am begging you, I have not begged you before, I will not beg you later, please do not leave us below 500 thousand votes. We want 500 thousand hearts, do not leave us alone, so that there are 500 thousand votes when the boxes are opened on Sunday evening", Kurti appealed.

He also responded to critics in other political parties or people who, according to him, have become rich and millionaires.

He even threatened that "whoever took the hectare for 300 euros, it seems, will return it to the state." Kurti also warned of the new program that "the children of Kosovars must be equal," hitting out at the millionaires who, according to him, have become rich.

"Self-determination cuts through the clutter and returns wealth to where it belongs, to the state, to the people," said the Kosovo Prime Minister.

And finally, a statement about the lands of Kosovo:

"We don't leave any piece of land to criminals and we defend it corner by corner!" he said.
