The mayor of Tetova, Bilal Kasami, said that Prime Minister Albin Kurti supports the Albanian opposition front in North Macedonia.
Kurt's visit to North Macedonia was considered private and by some even divisive and was seen in the context of the cooperation of the Vetëvendosje Movement with the Albanian opposition there. The head of the Government of Kosovo did not clearly accept this, but said that his visit was "mainly the reason for the invitation I had".
"The government did not manage to hide or control the fear of losing in the next elections, especially when the united opposition front came to the fore and with the support of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti", wrote Bilall Kasami on Facebook .
He mentioned the government and the president of Montenegro, Stevo Pendarovski, who reacted by condemning the way the events were organized.
"We understand the concern of the President and the Government, to which, surprisingly, Belgrade also came out with support and reactions, and we know that this political rhetoric has nothing to do with the visit of Albin Kurti, but it has to do with the concern that the Albanian opposition in RMV is uniting and counting the days of this government of crime and corruption/ Prime Minister Kurti's arrival was as much respect and honor for the Albanians of North Macedonia as it was respect for the state of North Macedonia, with which it is signed the memorandum of the joint project, on the road Tetovë-Prizren", Kasami added.
