Security expert Nuredin Ibishi said in an interview for Euronews Albania that the murderers, both the orderer and the executor of Liridona, can be sentenced to life imprisonment.
He said that for crimes against women, Kosovo has already tightened the laws, especially for such serious crimes, where the minimum sentence can be 10 years.
" Our judicial measures are at a high level. Sometimes they exceed the standards of the regional or European level, especially with severe punishment measures. This coincides with a heavy measure especially due to low motives. This will be from 10 to 40 years of punishment, but it is expected that a decision will be given for life imprisonment for the leader and the co-leader ", said Ibishi.
He said that Naim Murseli has revealed himself very quickly with his behavior during the funeral ceremony, raising suspicions that he could have been involved in the staging of Liridona's murder.
" He was deciphered very quickly. It appeared from the first sight during the mortuary process, during the burial of the deceased. His behavior towards journalists, his disregard for religious respect, his avoidance of contact with Liridona's family members, have caused suspicions to appear against him. The police acted quickly" , said the expert.
