Vucic said that this turn was caused by the Resolution announced in the UN Security Council on the genocide in Srebrenica and Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has warned of the change of Serbia's foreign policy from passive to active.
In a speech to journalists after the review and ceremony at the "Vasa Čarapić" barracks in Belgrade, Vucic said that this turn was caused by the Resolution announced in the UN Security Council on the genocide in Srebrenica and Kosovo's membership in the Council of Europe.
"I have written a total of 14 different letters to European leaders, mostly personalized, each of them I addressed taking into account the circumstances, in one way to those who know Kosovo, in the other to those who do not know Kosovo, all those letters have been sent. In those letters, I asked them to once again review their decision, for the admission of Kosovo to the CoE" , said Vučič, among other things, reports Danas.
Fearing that Serbia could be punished for genocide if the resolution on Srebrenica announced in the UN Security Council is sent to the court, Vucic said that he will fight to the end so that something like this does not happen. He added that he had spoken to Macron and Scholz about the matter.
" I especially emphasized the trick of May 10 for sending the draft of the ZSO to the Constitutional Court, after which nothing will follow. I have also spoken with Macron about this, he had talks with Scholz, we do not know how things will develop further and we will not only abide by the law, but we will continue to fight for justice and the truth ", he emphasized.
Vučić further threatened Germany not to vote for the resolution for the massacre of Serbenica, as Serbia would do the same to it, proposing a resolution for genocide in Kragujevac and Jajinci, as well as against the Russian people in World War II.
" If they vote for that (Resolution on Genocide), then we will do the same. But since we were secretly told that Serbia is not mentioned anywhere (in the resolution), we will not mention the Germans anywhere either, but we will submit resolutions on the crimes in Kragujevac and Jajinci, and next year on Jasenovac. They opened such a Pandora's box that they will soon face (the resolutions) about the genocide of the Soviet and Russian people in World War II ," Vučić concluded, Danas reports.
On the other hand, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, previously stated that Hungary will vote against the admission of Kosovo to the Council of Europe.
He said that during the telephone conversation between the two counterparts, the senior official of Hungary promised Dacic the refusal to support the UN resolution on Srebrenica, in which it is emphasized that Serbia committed genocide during the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
" Minister Szijjártó repeated to me that Hungary is interested in the success of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, but that Kosovo's continuous aim to join international organizations does not help this process. We also discussed the process of Serbia's integration into the European Union, which remains a priority goal of our foreign policy ," said Dacic.
However, the head of Serbian diplomacy expresses concern that the deputies of the Council of Europe may vote in favor of Kosovo for membership, but also added that there is a possibility that the Committee of Foreign Ministers at the May meeting may reject Kosovo's request. for membership in the Council of Europe./ Pamphlet
