Today marks the deadline for registering voters from the diaspora, a process that has been accompanied by increased interest from citizens abroad for weeks.
This registration is an important step for the diaspora's participation in the December 28 snap parliamentary elections, where their vote is often considered decisive.
The CEC announced yesterday that around 64,000 voters from the diaspora have applied to register so far.
"So far, 63,997 voters from the diaspora have applied for registration. Don't miss your chance to make your voice heard! Registration deadline: December 6, 2025," the CEC's announcement on Facebook reads.
The CEC has appealed to all interested parties to complete their application within the deadline, remembering that after today's date the registration system will be closed.
