The early elections in the north of Kosovo, the USA again demands the withdrawal of the mayors of the municipalities

The US Embassy in Kosovo has said that citizens have the right to request the withdrawal of elected presidents, based on the administrative instruction issued by the government.

The news was announced by the spokeswoman of the American embassy in Pristina, Katherine Judd, regarding the process concerning the four mayors of the northern municipalities.

"Citizens have the right to request the withdrawal of elected officials according to this administrative instruction. We respect the rule of law in Kosovo, including the exercise of this special right, based on a democratic and legal process. We continue to encourage the Government of Kosovo to ensure the citizens that they effectively exercise their rights according to the administrative instruction", the embassy statement said.
