The Minister of the Interior of Kosovo, Xhelal Zveçla, called for the international community to condemn the kidnapping of 3 Kosovo policemen by Serbian forces yesterday. He said that Serbia is trying to prevent the extension of the territorial sovereignty of the state of Kosovo.
" Belgrade took a shameful and unacceptable step by kidnapping 3 of our police officers. The operation was organized by the special team of Serbia 'Cobra'. It is about when there was smuggling earlier and that route was cut off by us. It was impossible for our policemen to cross into Serbian territory as Serbian propaganda says. This criminal act was done as an act of revenge for the arrest of a criminal. Serbia is trying to prevent the extension of our sovereignty over the entire territory. This criminal act must be severely condemned by the international factor because it shows the true face of Serbia. We call for the immediate release of our police officers "- said Zveçla.
