The well-known model Gigi Hadid has been arrested after being caught with cannabis narcotics in her suitcase.
Hadid was accompanied by a girl named Leah Nicole McCarthy and the same allegations were made against her. Hadid was at Owen Roberts International Airport, where her luggage was being checked by the authorities and drugs were found inside.
The event happened on July 10, 2023, when a private plane arrived at the Owen Roberts International Airport General Aviation Terminal from the US. The passengers' baggage was being checked and processed by a Customs and Border Control officer.
While Gigi and Leah's bags were being searched, authorities discovered several other items used for cannabis consumption. This led to a suspicion that the girls were importing cannabis to another country, leading to their arrest.
Gigi Hadid and Leah Nicole McCarthy were booked into the Detention Center, but were later released on bail.
Gigi and Leah appeared in court on July 12, 2023 and pleaded guilty during the hearing. The jury fined them $1,000.
