Jeff Bezos and Laura Sanchez landed this afternoon on the Lido of Venice. The Amazon tycoon and his girlfriend, a journalist and helicopter pilot, chose the lagoon city to organize their wedding with three days of celebrations, starting on Thursday and lasting until Saturday. The ceremony will take place on Friday, June 27, on the island of San Giorgio, in the San Marco basin.

For the moment, only the historic spaces of the Giorgio Cini Foundation, such as the monasteries, remain open to visitors.
The 'yes' under the fireworks?
A 'yes' under the stars and perhaps even under a shower of fireworks. This is one of the most suggestive hypotheses circulating these days to illuminate the San Marco basin.
The idea, according to what Adnkronos learned from sources close to the organizers, would be to close the ceremony with a scenographic event visible even from outside the island of San Giorgio. The fireworks, if confirmed, would represent not only the symbolic seal of the marriage between the Amazon founder and the journalist-pilot, but also a spectacular gift for the Venetians and tourists present in the lagoon.
However, nothing is certain at the moment. The event's organizers, managed by one of Europe's most exclusive event agencies, London-based Lanza & Baucina, are said to be carefully assessing the technical feasibility.
Matteo Bocelli the 'voice' of the ceremony
Matteo Bocelli will be the star who will light up the wedding ceremony on Friday. There is no official confirmation, but his presence is almost certain, as sources close to the event organizers told Adnkronos.
The singer, son of Andrea Bocelli, is the musical guest for the evening to be held at the Teatro Verde amphitheater on the southern tip of the island. Matteo Bocelli is already very popular with the American public, who have had the opportunity to appreciate him live. His father Andrea will not be able to be present because on June 27 and 28 he will be the protagonist in Pompeii, of a double concert at the Anfiteatro degli Scavi, accompanied by the Orchestra I Filarmonici di Napoli and Coro That's Napoli.
