Elbasan started their adventure in the first qualifying round of the Conference League with a draw. The Yellow-Blues shared the points with BATE Borisov, after the match ended with a 1-1 score.
The home team took the lead in the extra minutes of the first half. After a beautiful combination between Rubin Hebaj and Ardit Nikaj, it was the latter who successfully finished, giving Elbasan a 1-0 lead before the break.
In the second half, BATE Borisov responded. In the 67th minute, Egor Rusakov scored with a header, tying the score at 1-1.
Despite creating chances until the end, neither team managed to find the winning goal. As a result, everything remains open for the return match, which will take place in a week in Belarus, where the team that will secure qualification for the second round will be decided.
