Italian police have launched investigations into Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori after they were photographed in a compromising position.
The couple caused controversy last week when they were seen cruising the canals of Venice in a water taxi, with the rapper's pants off and his wife's head resting on his lap.
Now Kanye, 46, and Bianca, 28, are under investigation after Venice police have identified the boat driver and plan to question him about what he saw.
"There are standards of public order that must be followed by tourists and locals, and any breach is severely punished," said a Venice police source.
"Images of West with his pants down while in a taxi as he and his partner crossed the lagoon were seen around the globe."
The source continued: “You could clearly see his pants were half way down and we've had complaints from people who saw him. Now we have identified the driver of the boat and we will also ask him what he saw."
"The footage clearly shows the couple in a state of intimacy and if the local prosecutor decides to press charges then we will notify the couple, most likely through the respective embassies."
The offense being investigated is an offense against public decency, which is punishable by an administrative sanction".
Italian police plan to speak to the boat's driver in the coming days for a full report of what he saw.
