Ed Sheeran has canceled his concert in Las Vegas on Saturday (9 September) at the last minute. He announced the cancellation just a few hours before going on stage, which angered many fans.
The 32-year-old had planned to perform for them in the middle of their North American tour at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
But after the cancellation, the pop star posted on his "Instagram" a statement apologizing to their fans:
“I can't believe I'm writing this, but there have been some challenges I've faced while preparing for our Vegas concert. It is impossible to continue the show. I'm very sorry. I know everyone has traveled this far and I would like to change that."
Meanwhile, the 32-year-old also informed fans that Saturday's concert will be postponed until next month:
"The concert will be postponed to Saturday October 28 and all tickets purchased will be valid for that date. I am very sorry".
Allegiant Stadium had announced earlier in the day that there were unclear issues and took to Twitter to inform fans that the concert might be postponed.
Many of the famous singer's fans were very disappointed with the unfortunate news and the last minute cancellation, taking to social media to express their upset and anger.
One of them wrote: "Madness! So disappointing. I waited outside in the heat for almost 2 hours," while another commented: "Paying for my hotel? Why do you make me stay here for 2 hours". One person said he saw people pass out from the heat while waiting in line.
Another said: "I was out and paid for my flight and hotel and was on hold for an hour... I want all my money back this is ridiculous," while another simply wrote: "This is stupid."
"People sit outside for more than an hour. They have not given us any information. People are crowding in, others are still waiting outside. They don't even distribute water," someone commented.
