Jimmy Fallon has issued a public apology, after allegations of a toxic work environment on the "Tonight Show" took on a huge dimension.
The host reportedly apologized to the Tonight Show staff after Rolling Stone published allegations from current and former co-workers. According to them, the working environment behind the scenes of the TV show is toxic.
"It's embarrassing and I feel very bad. I'm sorry if I bothered you, your family and your friends," Jimmy Fallon told the Tonight Show staff during a brief meeting via Zoom.
"I feel so bad that I can't describe it. I want this show to be fun, it should be inclusive, it should be joyful, it should be the best show, it should be with the best people,” the host said.
Earlier Thursday, Rolling Stone published complaints from two current employees and 14 former employees of the show, members of the production crew and writers, who asked to remain anonymous for fear of retaliation.
The Rolling Stone report says 80 other current and former employees were contacted, but none agreed to speak or say positive things about working conditions on the "Tonight Show."
