After a six-year journey filled with challenges, Kim Kardashian has finally completed her law program – and celebrated with an intimate ceremony in her backyard, where she was… the only student! But, although proud of her achievement, the reactions online have not all been positive.
The 44-year-old star shared a photo of herself graduating on Instagram, where she was seen sitting at a podium in a gray blouse, black miniskirt, and the traditional beige graduation cap. Her mentors gave heartfelt speeches, while her children and family members watched in excitement. One mentor called Kim's journey "one of the most inspiring in the legal field."
However, many followers couldn't help but comment on the length of this journey, calling it ridiculous that it took her 6 years to complete a program that normally takes 3. "Lmao, 6 years to finish 'bar prep,'" wrote one user, while others added laughing emojis and mocking comments about her "speed in studies."
Kim did not attend a formal law school. She completed the alternative Law Office Study Program (LOSP) in California, which allows you to practice law through an internship at a law firm without having to attend college. However, she still has to pass the Bar Exam to officially become a lawyer.
Her mentors emphasized Kim's dedication, recalling that she completed this journey by raising four children, running businesses, filming television shows, and being active in criminal justice legal cases.
CNN's Van Jones also attended the ceremony, praising her commitment to reforming the justice system and efforts for pardons and family reunifications.
Now, she has her degree in hand – but it will be the Bar exam that will decide whether Kim will actually enter the courtroom as a fully-fledged lawyer. And if she succeeds, maybe she will silence the commentators for good… or not.
