During the preview night of the Miss Universe beauty pageant in Thailand, an unexpected incident shocked the audience and participants. Miss Universe Jamaica, Gabrielle Henry, tripped and fell off the stage while parading in high heels, a moment that was filmed and quickly spread on social media.
After the fall, the contestant was immediately helped by staff and carried off the stage on a stretcher. Later, organizers confirmed that Henry has been taken to Paolo Rangsit Hospital for further treatment. Fortunately, her condition is not life-threatening.
Raul Rocha, the owner of the Miss Universe pageant, responded on Instagram by assuring fans that he had personally visited Gabrielle in the hospital. He stressed that, according to doctors, she did not suffer any broken bones, although she is undergoing other tests to rule out possible complications. Rocha expressed relief at her condition and thanked the public for their support.
The Miss Universe Jamaica Organization also released an official statement, noting that the contestant is under specialized care and that her team is standing by her every step of the way. They asked followers to stay positive and send their best wishes for her speedy recovery.
Models and representatives from other countries expressed solidarity and sent Gabrielle encouraging messages.
The 74th Miss Universe finale will be held on November 21, where last year's winner, Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark, will hand over the crown to her new successor. The incident, however, has raised concerns about stage safety and parade conditions.
