Arbana Osmani has been put at the center of criticism on social media after a statement made during today's broadcast of "Ferma VIP".
During one moment in the program, while discussing with one of the residents, Akil Varfi, about the debates at home, the moderator used the expression: "you got a bit like a Yevgut rifle."
After this statement, reactions on the network were not long in coming. Many followers considered the term inappropriate and pointed out that the word "Yevgjit" is used in a derogatory manner towards a community.
Among the many comments, some of the most repeated reactions were: "Be careful with your expressions", "You insulted a community" and "After so many years on television, you still don't know discriminatory terms?".
A few minutes later, Arbana Osmani reacted by publicly apologizing for using the expression, clarifying that there was no offensive intent and emphasizing that she is not racist.
