Popular artist Jennifer Lopez is looking forward to the holiday season after a difficult year and her divorce from Ben Affleck. In an interview for People, the 55-year-old singer and actress talked about her anticipation to spend the holidays with her children and family, who will come to visit.
"It's been a pretty intense year for me and I'm looking forward to spending time with my kids and family," she said, explaining that the holidays have been special since she was a child. "I always look forward to these moments when I can be with my sisters, relax and make new memories."
Lopez has two children, 16-year-old Max and Em, from her marriage to Marc Anthony. As she describes it, vacations are periods when she slows down the pace of everyday life and spends more time with her loved ones.
"We don't get to meet all year, so then we can talk about what everyone is doing and how their lives are," she said. "It's just a beautiful moment, I'm enjoying it a lot."
"I'm one of those people who really tries to create a fabulous environment for my kids with all these elements," she explained.
As she said afterward, she hopes for "a deeper connection with herself and with God," hoping to achieve that by making sure she's "renewed" so she's "better for everyone around her." .
After canceling her This Is Me… Live tour in May to focus on her personal life, she revealed that she intends to "creatively explore her limits, whether that means acting, music, production or expansion by JLo Beauty”.
