"Don't let the children listen to my songs", Buta: I'm not

Rapper Betim Januzi, known by his stage name Buta, has given an interview for the show 'Prive', where he discussed the impact of fatherhood on his life, but did not hesitate to set boundaries when it comes to the content of his music. Despite becoming a father for the first time in February 2024, with the birth of his daughter Irina, Buta does not promise that his music will change to be more "acceptable".

"It's not up to me to educate their children," the rapper said.

"I wouldn't prefer parents to let their children listen to my music because it's uncensored music."

These statements come at a time when many artists feel compelled to tone down their content for a wider audience. But Buta seems clear in his mission: music is his art, and not an education manual for children. However, he admits that the role of father has fundamentally changed him.

"Irina is my motivation and strength for life," he said.

The rapper adds that he is now more aware of the values he conveys in everyday life, even though his music remains essentially unchanged.

"Now I'm more focused on the example I set for children, not on censorship in art," Buta said.
