Brazilian influencer Natalia Cavanellas died after undergoing cosmetic surgery in Sao Paulo.
According to CNN Brasil, the 40-year-old suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest during the procedure and, although she was in regular hospital conditions, she did not survive. The case has been registered as an "unexpected death," while investigations into the exact cause of death are still ongoing by the Institute of Forensic Medicine.
Local media write that on social media, she was known as an inspirational figure, a mother, wife, and entrepreneur who led a community of hundreds of professional women.

Her private Instagram profile had over 105,000 followers, while another account dedicated to networking and strategy had nearly 30,000 more followers.
The news of her death was announced by her husband, Rafael Thomazella, through an emotional post on Instagram.
"Everyone knows what an extraordinary woman Natalia was. Beautiful, independent, professional, loving. I will always tell Manoella how extraordinary her mother was, a woman everyone loved and admired," he wrote.
The doctor who performed the procedure, Edgar Lopez, said in a statement that the procedure was planned and carried out in accordance with all medical protocols. However, Cavanellas suffered a rare complication, suspected to be a pulmonary embolism, a known, albeit rare, risk even when all preventive measures are taken.
