Virginia Giuffre feared she would "die as a sex slave" at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein and his circle, her posthumous memoir reveals.
"Nobody's Girl" will be published today, while the BBC reports that in it, Giuffre says she had sexual relations with Prince Andrew three times, one of which involved Epstein and eight young girls.
Andrew and Giuffre reached a financial settlement in 2002, but he has denied going along with it. Epstein and his ex-girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year prison sentence, orchestrated the whole thing.
Giuffre says in the book that even decades after that time, she remembers how scared she was of both of them. She describes in detail the sadistic abuse she suffered at the hands of Epstein. According to her, he forced her to perform sadomasochistic sex that caused her “so much pain that she fainted.”
Prince Andrew said on Friday he would give up his royal and knighthood titles. Giuffre's book challenges his claims that he did nothing wrong. She says she first met the prince in March 2001.
Maxwell woke her up and told her it would be “a special day” and “just like Cinderella” she would meet a “handsome prince.” Giuffre met Andrew that same day and Maxwell asked him to guess her age.
The prince was 41 at the time and “got it right: 17. My girls are a little younger than you,” he told her. That night, she, Epstein and Maxwell were at the Tramp club in London, where the prince was “sweating a lot.” On their way back to Maxwell’s house, she told him: “When we get home, you should do to him what you did to Jeffrey.” There they had sex.
"In my years with them, they left me in the hands of rich, powerful men. I was systematically used and humiliated, in some cases strangled, beaten and left bleeding. I believed I could die as a sex slave," the book says.
Epstein was convicted in 2008 in Florida of soliciting the prostitution of minors. He died in prison in 2019 while awaiting sentencing.
That same year, Prince Andrew said he had "no recollection" of meeting Giuffre and "they never had any sexual contact."
