In addition to these, Albanians also maintain some unique traditions that are not easily found in surrounding countries. One of the most characteristic is the custom of who should enter the house first on the first day of the year.
According to tradition, when the first to enter the house is a male child, the whole year will go well and without problems. So, for those who believe in these beliefs, it is important to first allow a little boy to enter the house, and then the others.
