Vienna is the best city to live in the whole world. The Austrian capital remains at the top of the ranking of the Economist Intelligence Unit, a research institute affiliated with The Economist magazine.
Protests over pension reforms in France caused its cities to fall in the ranking, the authors of the study explain. Thus Paris dropped from 19th place in 2022 to 24th in 2023, Lyon from 25th to 30th.
London ranks 46th in 2023, New York 69th. After Vienna, comes Copenhagen, then Meburn, Syndey, etc.
In 2023, in all the cities studied, the average quality of life index reaches the highest level in fifteen years, especially in terms of health, education and culture, after the end of the restrictive measures related to the pandemic.
