Rita Ora, the world-famous Albanian singer, has finally received approval to build a modern gym in the garden of her luxury villa located in London, worth 7.5 million pounds (about 8.5 million euros), even though her property is part of the cultural heritage.
The project has faced strong opposition from local residents, who have expressed concerns about the disruption of peace, excessive lighting and the impact on the natural ecology. They considered the structure a “pavilion of noise and light” that risks violating the privacy and harmony of the neighborhood. In a collective petition, neighbors pointed out that the construction violates the area’s rules prohibiting large gatherings, warning of potential conflicts.
Ironically, Rita herself had previously spoken about the importance of preserving her garden as a “shelter for butterflies and birds.” In a video, she spoke fondly of the “green paradise” that she did not want to damage with modern installations.
Despite objections, the authorities gave approval, as the project was within urban planning regulations. A source close to Ora said that the singer acted legally and did not intend to disrupt the harmony of the neighborhood.
Her representatives have not yet officially commented on the decision.
